Georgia Man Leaves Jail Naked Then Arrested Again

Bill Merit left the Chatham County jail and did what any person who just left jail, having just been held on charges of criminal trespass and disorderly conduct, and walked down the side of the road buck naked. Nothing says freedom like feeling the wind on your ass. The police were called and he was promptly arrested again on a charge of public indecency. Good news is that he appeared normal aside from his lack of clothing. Finally, a non-crazy naked person running around. It's about time! Here's more from the associated press:

Sometimes, it's better to look like a jailbird than sport a birthday suit. Police say Bill Merit, 49, left the Chatham County jail and began walking by the side of the road, naked. Witnesses called police, who arrested him and jailed him again on a charge of public indecency.

A police report says Merit told an officer that he didn't take the clothes jailers gave him because he thought they were stolen. The report says the man "appeared rational, except for being naked."

Jail records show Merit had been booked two days eariler on charges of criminal trespass and disorderly conduct. Chatham County Sheriff Lt. Thomas Tillman said Wednesday Merit remains in jail awaiting arraignment. He says he does not know if Merit has a lawyer.

Girl, 12, Charged With Distributing Nude Pic of Classmate, Also 12 - Coleytown Middle School

Kids these days! Not only are they dumb enough to take naked pictures of themselves, they are also dumb enough to send them to friends, who are then dumb enough to share them with others. So what's this 12-year-old girl charged with? Breach of peace. Guess that's the best they could come up with.
Here's more on this story from Fox News:
A 12-year-old Westport girl has been charged with distributing a nude photo of a classmate to fellow students.
The investigation began on May 12 when the incident was reported to Westport police after word circulated throughout Coleytown Middle School that a nude snapshot was taken during a video chat and distributed to others.
The girl is being referred to Juvenile Court in Norwalk on a charge of second-degree breach of peace, which involves the distribution of offensive and indecent material. Her name is not being released because of her age.
The arrest comes amid growing worries among parents about teenagers snapping naked pictures of themselves on their cell phones and sending them to their boyfriends and girlfriends. Many of the pictures are falling into the wrong hands or being posted on the Internet, leading to criminal charges.
