Well, that didn't take long! The first really good looking woman to run for national office in the Internet age and fake topless and naked pictures of Governor Sarah Palin started making the rounds on the Web before the words were even out of John McCain's withered mouth. Of course, only bloggers in the USA started posting them, not the mainstream press . . . but not overseas, where apparently the PhotoShopping of pictures is not understood as well as it is in the States. A phoney nude photo of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin has made front page news in the Taiwanese press after being published widely on US political blogs. The photo making the rounds purports to be Miss Palin during her ‘beauty queen’ days and was quickly leapt upon by the Taiwanese Press and the UK’s notorious ‘News of the World’.
Several other doctored and phoney pics have spread like wildfire throughout the blogosphere, playing on her reputation as the "hot governor" of America's coldest state. It’s the latest controversy to engulf the neophyte Republican in just a few days, after rumours circulated that she faked a pregnancy and her baby was, in fact, her eldest daughter’s. The whispers were quickly put to bed, however, when it was revealed her 17-year-old daughter, Bristol, was, in fact, five-months pregnant now.
Today Republican presidential candidate John McCain says he feels satisfied that Ms Palin's background was properly checked before the Alaska governor became his running-mate.
