Headline of the Week: Naked Man Threatens to Jump From Church Cross

Some days, you'd just hate to be a cop, wouldn't you? Here's more on the latest crazy naked guy story from the San Jose Mercury News:

A seven-hour standoff between authorities and a naked man who perched atop a church's cross has ended peacefully, despite the man's threats to jump. Los Angeles firefighters spokeswoman d'Lisa Davies says firefighters and police were called to the West Central Presbyterian Church in the Miracle Mile neighborhood around 8:05 a.m. on Sunday. Once there, Davies says authorities found an unidentified naked man perched on a cross atop the two-story building. The man ranted and, at one point, spread his feces on the cross. An air cushion was set up, but the man climbed down and was taken into custody around 3 p.m.
