A 20-year-old man who jumped naked through several closed windows at his Alpine home before being stunned still by a Taser-wielding deputy was hospitalized Friday, but his injuries were not life-threatening, authorities said. Sheriff's deputies were called to the home in the 5500 block of Willows Road around 7:30 p.m. Thursday to deal with the mentally unstable man, San Diego County sheriff's Sgt. Joseph Sprecco said.
The first deputy to arrive found the man unclothed and covered in his own blood, according to Sprecco. The man attempted a standing back flip and landed on his head, then got back on his feet and charged the deputy, who responded by using his Taser stun gun, Sprecco said. Paramedics arrived and flew the man to a local trauma center due to extensive blood loss from numerous cuts, apparently caused by his jumping through three different closed windows, Sprecco said.
