Police are trying to identify a man who allegedly approached two 16-year-old girls in Petaluma Monday afternoon wearing nothing but a black beanie. The girls reported to police that they were sitting on a play structure in McNear Park at about 4 p.m. when a naked man in his late 20s approached them.
The man did not speak to the girls, nor make any gestures, police said. The girls distanced themselves from the man, walking across the park to where a baseball game was being played.
When the teens left, the man got into a black 1990s-model lowered pickup truck and drove west on G Street, according to police. Officers did not find suspect that day, but spoke with a homeowner who reported seeing the suspect's car in the area at the time the incident occurred. The man was described as Hispanic, unshaven and standing 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall with a medium build.
