Teenaged Arrested for Posting Naked Pictures of . . . Herself?

No one disputes the charges here. Dumb mom and daughter don't understand how a kid can get charged for posting naked pictures of themselves online. Apparently the authorities can and WILL do it. Maybe they should have started sooner and fewer teens would be doing it, maybe?

A Cape Coral teenager faces charges after authorities find pornographic images of herself on her phone and computer.  She said police are coming down on her too harshly.  The teen admits she made a mistake when she took nude photos of herself, but she and her mom say the punishment far outweighs the crime.

The 17-year-old is still shaken after her arrest Thursday - charged with promoting the sexual performance of a child.  The pictures she took of herself ended up on the popular social networking site MySpace.  Now, the teen and her mom say their lives have been turned upside down and they are facing a legal battle they can't afford to fight.

Lt. Sean Crosier of the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department said deputies were called to Booker T. Washington Park in Malden just before 9 a.m. Sunday to investigate reports of a man masturbating in public.  Once they got to the park, they allegedly found Eddie Manuel Campbell, 61, of Witcher Creek Road, sitting on a park bench in plain view of passing motorists, Crosier said. Police said Campbell had one arm around a mannequin and was touching himself with the other.

Campbell was arrested and charged with indecent exposure.
