Naked Man Hurt When He "Falls" From Car

We put "falls" in quotes because cops aren't sure if if this naked guy on drugs jumped or was pushed from the car.

An unidentified naked man, 22, of Cypress suffered life-threatening head injuries when he either jumped or was pushed from a car on Katella Avenue west of Brookhurst Street Sunday night, police said.

Preliminary investigation indicated that the man was on drugs and jumped out of the car, Sgt. Rick Martinez said. “Because of the suspicious nature of the incident, major assault detectives responded but at this stage they think he jumped out of the car,” he said.

The injured man was taken to a trauma center, and his condition was unknown Monday morning.  Anaheim police believe that a report earlier Sunday evening of a naked man running in traffic at Beach Boulevard and Ball Road was the same man, Martinez said.

The driver of the car left the scene, but witnesses got a license plate and Anaheim police contacted him at his Buena Park home. According to Martinez, the driver told police he panicked because the injured man and another passenger were under the influence of drugs.
