Police arrested a man accused of leaving photos at Walmart of partially nude photographs of himself dressed in women's clothing with his genitals exposed. Rodney Kunkel, 44, of Toledo, was arrested Thursday morning and charged with two counts of pandering obscenity.
A total of 12 photo-graphs of a semi-nude man appeared Monday on store shelves in the cosmetics department, as well as on the windshields of cars in the parking lot. Store employees collected the photographs and called police.
Security employees turned over surveillance tape showing the man believed to be responsible and his vehicle. When store employees saw the vehicle in their parking lot again on Thursday, they immediately called police. Officers stopped the car as Kunkel attempted to leave. He was wearing regular clothes.
Four more photographs were found on the shelves in the cosmetics department. Fremont police Detective Dean Bliss said Kunkel admitted during questioning that he left behind the photographs showing him from the shoulders down in a pink lingerie top and black fishnet stockings, with his genitals exposed.
